* I think the "true color" means the "true heart"!! And the story of the song is that two people love each other , but they do not tell each other that " I love you", and maybe the girl know that, and she wants the boy to speak up his "true heart"!! And I think the boy do not tell the girl that he loves her is because he afraids that it may break thier friend's relationship.
